Limited staffing causes temporary closure at 100 Mile District General Hospital’s emergency department

Interior Health is advising residents of changes to the 100 Mile District General Hospital’s emergency department hours today (September 21st).

They said the closure is due to limited physician availability.

The closure began at 7:00am, and will remain unavailable until 8:00 tonight.

Patients can access care at Williams Lake’s Cariboo Memorial Hospital or Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

Interior Health said anyone needing life-threatening emergency care should always call 9-1-1 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility.
