One family took home a total of four championship buckles at the BC Rodeo Finals in Barriere over the long weekend.
Kenzie Loyd, still competing in high school, took home two championship buckles, one in the open breakaway roping and another in the junior barrel racing.
Steve Loyd, a former Canadian Tie-Down Roping Champion back in 2003, added another provincial title to his resume.
He won all three go-rounds with times of 9 and 6, 9 flat and 9 and 2.
Virgil Poffenroth from Riske Creek finished in a tie for second.
And Kyder Loyd, Kenzie’s brother, won the junior breakaway roping title.
There were a couple of other Cariboo champions, including Kyle Frizzi from Williams Lake in the Bull Riding.
Kyle covered his bull all three days and had the only qualified rides of the entire rodeo with scores of 87, 83 and then 87.
Kamijah Neufeld from Quesnel captured the Pee Wee Barrel Racing title.
