Emergency room interruption at 100 Mile District General Hospital

Interior Health is notifying 100 Mile House and area residents of a temporary service interruption at 100 Mile District General Hospital’s emergency room.

The interruption is due to limited physician availability.

They said emergency department services will be unavailable from 7:00am to 3:00pm on Wednesday, August 14th.

Patients are able to access care at Williams Lake’s Cariboo Memorial Hospital, Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre, or Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

Anyone needing life-threatening emergency care should always call 9-1-1 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility.

Interior Health noted that the emergency department in 100 Mile House is normally open 24/7.

More information regarding the service interruption can be found on Interior Health’s website here.
