City’s Chief Administrative Officer Resigns

Darrell Garceau officially resigned Monday morning as Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Williams Lake.

Mayor Walt Cobb says he’s a little surprised to say the least.

“I guess I’m also a little a disappointed. He gave no specific reason other than he has to make some personal changes in his life.”

“We have an in-camera meeting tonight to discuss it. We’ll look at all of our options. We will definitely be filling the position but how long that will take to do all the advertising and all that kind of stuff is still up in the air and how soon we can get that ready to go.”

Garceau’s last day in office will be February 19th.

He has been the City’s Chief Administrative Officer since July 2, 2013.
