Latest on Emergency Room closures at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake

The Emergency Room at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in WIlliams Lake is expected to be open tonight. (Monday)

Interior Health says that currently coverage is in place.

The ER was closed again overnight last night from 5-30 pm until 7-30 this morning.

That was the 4th straight night that that had happened due to limited nursing availability.

Patients were being directed to access care at either the 100 Mile District General Hospital, GR Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel, or the Bella Coola General Hospital.

There have now been a total of eight emergency department service interruptions at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital since February.
