The mayors of One Hundred Mile House and Quesnel were in meetings yesterday with various factions to discuss strategies in dealing with the pine beetle and how best to spend twenty-five million dollars earmarked for beetle relief
Mayor Mitch Campsall of One Hundred Mile House says the meetings, though very preliminary, were very productive.
The meeting had members from the regional advisory council (RAC) along with Northern Development Trust (NDI) and beetle action coalition (BAC) members from Omenica, South Interior, and the Cariboo-Chilcotin.
