Illegal dumping involving grow-op materials a rising concern

Concerns of illegal dumping involving grow-op materials have arisen in the Cariboo Regional District (CRD).
Chair and Area G Director, Al Richmond, says they looking at options to tackle the worrisome issue that is growing according to Area H Director, Margo Wagner.

Richmond says the CRD is environmentally concerned that the material if from a grow-op, could be hazardous and it’s potential impacts if found near waterways.

He adds that despite the individuals who are choosing not to work with the hours at refuse sites, the CRD is having some success.
An illegal dump site involving grow-op material was cleaned up in Area H a few weeks ago.
